Job Description

The Post-doctoral Research Fellow will report to the Associate Director of Research, A. T. Still Research Institute, Mesa, Arizona and work at the Mesa, Arizona campus and work with the National Center for Community Health Research. 


To join ongoing projects and conduct independent health services research. Join the new National Center for Community Health Research (NCCHR) and work with the National Association of Community Health Centers. Have access to 1,300 health centers with over 9,300 delivery sites. Health centers serve more than 24 million patients annually across the US, regardless of ability to pay.

Job description:

Responsible for working with NCCHR and ATSRI faculty and staff, health centers, IT leaders and datacenters. Will work with large and small data sets for health services research including clinical outcomes and economic analysis. Will work with patient reported instrument development and psychometric analysis. Analyze large data sets to answer questions related to clinical practice guidelines, quality of care measures and value in health care.

Excellent communicator and presenter of research findings and able to work with a team of researchers. Will write for grant support. Some teaching and lecturing requirements.


Skills / Requirements

  • PhD in Health Services Research or equivalent experience in or training
  • Able to use software for advanced graduate level statistical analysis
  • Some experience with medical diagnostic ICD-9 or 10 codes and procedural codes

Must have excellent communication skills, be a self-starter, and motivated by serving underserved populations.
