Job Description

The Physical Therapy Program at ATSU - Arizona School of Health Sciences is looking for a Clinical Education Administrative Assistant in Mesa, AZ. This position is for an innovative and dedicated individual to assist with administrative and office support for clinical education in the DPT program. The Clinical Education Administrative Assistant works closely and directly with the ACCE and DCE and under the direct supervision of the DCE.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Assisting and supporting the ACCE/DCE in:
    • Ensuring completion of clinical site requirements (including tracking compliance information in site-specific management systems
    • Training and supporting students in use of clinical education software management system
    • Supporting students in the use of the assessment management system
    • Clarifying requirements and processes with students
    • Scheduling student assessments
    • Collecting and organizing clinical education data
    • Researching clinical sites
    • Organizing outgoing communication to clinical partners
    • Ordering promotional supplies
    • Fielding phone calls, filing, and faxing as needed
  • Managing the clinical site database which includes:
    • Tracking clinical affiliations
    • Updating clinical site and contact information
    • Confirming/updating site requirement resource list
    • Recording clinical experiences
  • Contributing to the continued enhancement of clinical education
  • Organizing professional events: scheduling rooms, preparing event forms, arranging meals, creating certificates for participants
  • Assisting with other department administrative needs as assigned by the DCE, DPT program Director, and department chair

    • research clinical sites through internet
    • manage multiple projects and tasks efficiently
    • edit written communication
    • interact with faculty, students, staff, alumni, and professionals (clinical site and clinical instructors) in the academic community and general public
    • follow and share information regarding university policy and procedure
  • Experience in business or academic office setting
  • Associates degree preferred, not required
