Job Description

A.T. Still University, Arizona School of Health Sciences located on the Mesa, Arizona campus invites applications for a faculty position to teach in the musculoskeletal track of our entry-level Doctor of Physical Therapy program and in the Orthopedic Physical Therapy Residency Program. Responsibilities include teaching, scholarship, academic and research advising, and service to the institution, community, and profession. This faculty member will be responsible for teaching the introductory musculoskeletal examination course and spinal conditions courses in the entry-level curriculum, and for providing mentoring in the Orthopedic Residency program. Rank and salary are commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Skills / Requirements

The ideal candidate will demonstrate evidence of scholarly activity and exhibit excellence in teaching at the graduate level using web-assisted media. Minimum criteria for this position are: licensed physical therapist; APTA member; have at least 5 years of clinical experience in orthopedics; DPT and Board-certified Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist (OCS); able to obtain PT license in Arizona; fit well into the current faculty group .  Preferred candidates will also be a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapy (FAAOMPT), and/or have a an academic doctoral degree (e.g., PhD, EdD, DSc) with an emphasis in a related area.
