ATSU-Arizona School of Health Sciences is seeking a Patient Services Coordinator/Administration and Operations Support for the AFA Balance & Hearing Institute. The AFA Balance & Hearing Institute-Patient Services Coordinator position is accountable for patient scheduling, regular patient interactions and managing patient flow. The PSC/AOS is responsible for ensuring the integrity of patient data and must demonstrate the ability to work under pressure, multi-task, and work both independently and as a team member. Prior experience in an audiology clinic, the ability to comply with policies and procedures, and the ability to provide excellent customer service are highly desirable traits.

Job duties include:

  • Coordinate schedules and patient flow
  • Process patient letters
  • Manage hearing aid repairs and orders
  • Answer incoming clinic telephone calls
  • Check messages and perform outbound calls
  • Handle basic hearing aid service walk-in traffic
  • Maintain organization, appearance, and cleanliness of front and back office areas
  • Manage audiology clinic supplies -tracking inventory, generating and monitoring purchase orders and other financial requests
  • Perform various billing functions
  • Responsible for posting procedures and financial payments
  • Schedule/handle walk-in appointments
  • Enter information into receivables and/or payable accounts
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports
  • Prepare marketing materials and participate in marketing efforts, as needed
