Job Description

The Network Security Analyst will plan, implement, upgrade, or monitor security measures for the protection of computer networks and information, specializing in endpoint security, vulnerability management and penetration testing. May ensure appropriate security controls are in plan that will safeguard digital files and vital electronic infrastructure. May respond to computer security incidents and viruses.

  • Install, upgrade, and maintain new virtual servers according to established policies and procedures
  • Setup and maintain Active Directory structure to ensure only authorized changes occur
  • Maintain enterprise anti-malware software, desktop firewalls, and vulnerability scanning software
  • Maintain Cisco ISE infrastructure
  • Monitor security logs on all systems and address any incidents or anomalies recorded
  • Maintain the daily backups and retention in accordance with the departmental procedures
  • Document computer security and emergency measures, policies, procedures, and tests
  • Assure the virus protection software is kep current in accordance with departmental policy

Skills / Requirements

  • Four year college degree in Computer Science or related degree plus ability to acquire Certified Ethical Hacker within 1 year of hire
  • Computer hardware, Microsoft Windows Server, TCP/IP, Google e-mail systems, ethernet, fastethernet and Cisco equipment, Nessus, ISE, and Ivanti endpoint protection
  • Network and computer forensic analysis, data security, electronic threat identification and mitigation
  • PCI/DSS, HIPAA, FERPA, copyright laws
