Job Description

The KCOM Department of Pharmacology announces the opening of a Laboratory Technician at its Kirksville, MO location. The Laboratory Technician reports directly to the Chair of the Pharmacology department.

Duties and Responsibilities include:

  • Perform research experiments and analyze results.
  • Work with Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel
  • Keep the Senior lab personnel informed of results and the progress of experiments
  • Prepare solutions and other materials for experiments
  • Maintain primary cell cultures and cultured cell lines
  • Order materials for the lab
  • Other duties as assigned

Skills / Requirements

  • Four year college degree required
  • Must be good working with their hands
  • Understand and accurately execute instructions
  • Making solutions, calculating molarity
  • Cell cultures
