The ATSU-Missouri School of Dentistry & Oral Health is proud to announce the opening of a Business Operations Manager at its St. Louis Dental Clinic location. The Business Operations Manager reports directly to the Dean and is responsible for assisting the Dean of MOSDOH by providing financial and budgetary management monitoring for all MOSDOH cost center budgets.  This position is responsible for conducting monthly reviews of income and expenses charged to the School.  Major job duties include:

  • Support the Dean and Vice Deans by providing financial/budgetary management
  • Develop initial budgetary requests, ongoing oversight, and assist working with MOSDOH deans and Affinia Healthcare.
  • Assist in the financial budgets related to grants, contracts, research funding, CEU activities and other fund management
  • Assist the deans in any financial matters affecting programmatic accreditation
  • Assist the deans with developing pro-forma budgets for new programs/rotation sites and plans for long-term financial goals
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of budget(s), including assisting the dean with projections, proposals, and reports
  • Develop and maintain monitoring systems and spreadsheets to report income and expenses for the MOSDOH Dean's Office and the School as a whole, preparing financial documents for the Finance Office as requested
  • Establish and run financial reports, analyzing monthly financial data - including monthly variance reports, providing the Dean with routine updates on budget/financial status
  • Review and evaluate financial contracts and agreements
  • Review purchase requests, check requests, and travel
  • Analyze data and financial health of MOSDOH with updates to the Dean
  • Produce necessary budget/financial reports to help identify financial problems or concerns
  • Organize and track scholarships for MOSDOH students from endowed and non-endowed funds
  • Conduct monthly reviews of funds added and expenses charged to the School's restricted funds
  • Review and track MOSDOH's fixed asset records
  • Meet regularly with the Finance Team
  • Prepare reports for and serve on the Operations/Financial Committee
  • Other duties as assigned

Skills / Requirements

  • 4-year degree in finance, accounting, or business related field is required 
  • 3 to 5 years prior experience in finance, accounting, database management, and supervision of support staff
  • Preference given to those who hold advanced degrees with certification in the appropriate professional field and organization
  • Ability to be versatile and work under pressure of constant deadlines on varied and diverse projects simultaneously
  • Ability to organize effectively and keep track of ongoing projects, events, deadlines, and meeting times
  • Ability to be flexible and show inniative
  • Ability to work independently and as a team with little supervision 
  • Must represent ATSU in a highly professional manner, both internally and externally
