Job Description

The School of Osteopathic Medicine in Arizona (SOMA) is currently seeking an osteopathic physician for a 0.3 FTE part time academic faculty position within the Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine department.

At SOMA, standard treatment principles are taught, covering much of the body framework system in the first year. Topics covered include: general concepts and structural examination, soft tissue, counterstrain, indirect, muscle energy, and HVLA. Also covered are Chapman’s Reflexes, lymphatic techniques, and concepts from osteopathy in the cranial field.

  • Lecture and provide table training during OPP class
  • Interact with OMM fellows and help promote and supervise educational and research activities. 
  • Participate in scholarly activities, committees, and service activities as deemed appropriate by OPP faculty chair. 
  • Collaborate with other physicians and basic science faculty on interdisciplinary educational endeavors. 

Skills / Requirements

Applicants must be a DO with board certification in NMM/OMM.The candidate should have a desire to be part of an innovative team. Experience in osteopathic manipulative treatment in patient care is required. Applicants must be a DO with board certification in NMM/OMM.
