Job Description

The data/informatics specialist will actively contribute ideas and seek ways to collaboratively improve processes, systems, and tools to enhance data management for the project team and Fellows/Champions. S/he will demonstrate strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills in order to coordinate leaders, faculty, and trainees at multiple remote locations, and serve as a liaison between all parties. S/he will help identify and recommend solutions for addressing Fellow knowledge/skill gaps, particularly in design of health care transformation projects and collection systems that comply with Health Center policies, regulations, and the law. The specialist will occasionally travel to the Fellowship sites and frequently conduct business via video conference and email communications with project faculty and trainees.

Skills / Requirements

Successful candidates must be self-starters who possess a master’s degree in healthcare informatics, public health, health care administration, health care management, or related field and demonstrate the skills and attitudes needed to methodically blend the application of information management with legal and ethical competencies.
